Twice Bright Lighting offers the only solution for small aperture remodel IC recessed lighting. We have multiple solutions depending on your application. Please see some general information below that will guide you through our product offering. We have both 3″ and 4″ IC AT remodel solutions!

 

Is there a height restriction in your application? If you have less than 3 ½” of space to work with you must use our low voltage downlighting. If you have over 3 ½” of space you can use either our low voltage, line voltage or our integral LED fixtures.

Low Voltage 12V IC Recessed Lighting – 2″ Aperture

 

  • Maximum 20W GU5.3 based aluminum reflector halogen lamp.
  • Recommended LED – Soraa 7.5W LED MR16 lamps.
  • Shallowest recessed lighting in the marketplace. Fixtures are 2 ½”.
  • Can be used as primary lighting.
  • Low voltage halogen bulbs produce a whiter, brighter light than line voltage halogen bulbs. You will get 33% more light out of a low voltage halogen bulb than you would out of an equivalent wattage line voltage halogen bulb.
  • We recommend using Philips Energy Advantage 20W IR Halogen MR16 with aluminum backing. The lamps put out the equivalent light of a low voltage 35W MR16 or of a line voltage 50W MR16.
  • Has 35° tilt on tilting models for cathedral and sloped ceilings.
  • Has an integral electronic transformer. You run 120V right to the fixtures.
  • Use a dimmer designed for use with an electronic transformer.
  • You may use halogen or LED bulbs. We offer a complete range of recommended lamps.

Line Voltage 120V IC Recessed Lighting – 2″ & 4″ Aperture

 

  • Maximum 25W and 35W GU10 based aluminum reflector halogen lamp or appropriate LEDs.
  • Recommended LED – TCP Elite Series GU10 7W LED lamps.
  • Shallowest recessed lighting in the market place. Fixtures range from 3 ½” – 4 ½”.
  • Can be used for primary lighting.
  • To get the most light output from these fixtures you can use any of the TCP dimmable LEDs.
  • Has 20° tilt on tilting models for cathedral and sloped ceilings.
  • Our SL12025TL/F fixtures can be used when 2×4 joists have been used.
  • Can be used with all regular line voltage dimmers.
  • Our 4″ IC remodel fixture is our AL12035.

Integral LED IC Recessed Lighting – 2″ Aperture

 

  • Uses Twice Bright XL Series 10W modules.
  • Shallowest recessed lighting in the marketplace. Fixtures are 3 ½”.
  • Can be used as primary lighting in all downlight applications, even high ceiling applications.
  • High lumen package at 865 delivered lumens. Our LED module produces more light than 50W MR16 Halogen.
  • Has an integral LED driver; You run 120V right to the fixtures.
